There will be a Chen Na Seminar on November 9th, from 2:00 - 5:00 PM.

The emphasis will be on explaining the concepts behind Chen Na (Joint locks), and
we will demonstrate some of the locks used in the Tian Shen Pai system by
Master Willy Lin. The cost of the seminar will be a suggested donation of 10$. The
idea is that you donate what you are able, and the money will go towards bringing
Master Lin up from New York to teach a seminar.

You are free to donate whatever you are
able, but you are more than welcome to attend regardless, as the main intention
of the McGill Gong Fu Club is to simply raise awareness as to all the different styles
available in martial arts training.

We are also working on organizing a film night for November 16th, with the intention
of showing hard to find Asian films.
Updates will be posted here.

There is now a course being offered on Thursdays from 7:30 - 9:30 pm which
will focus on building up the foundations for Martial Arts training, with emphasis
on flexibility and stamina.

October 12th 2007:

The Xing Long Gong Fu club is now a martial arts space that hosts; the Seven
Starts Tai Ji Club which teaches Wu Style Tai Ji Quan and The McGill Gong Fu club. We
work towards offering people instruction in health maintenance with a focus on mind body
connections, as well as methods of self defense which use this integration. Through the
Mcgill Gong Fu club we hope to be able to introduce McGill students to different schools
throughout Montreal so that people can find the style that is right for them.

We also host monthly Art Vernissages and film nights, in order to help support the Arts, and
utilize the space we have available to give exposure to student artists, as well as raise
awareness for worthwhile causes.

Shortly coming up we will be hosting a Tai Ji Chuan Seminar

We've recently celebrated our 3rd anniversary of being open here in montreal.
Things have certainly flowered since we first openned our doors, with
the addition of several new instructors we've seen many students come and go,
either moving on with new knowledge they will carry with them through life, or
staying and becoming more involved with the vast depth of training we have here
at our school.

We have several activities coming up, from arranging a seminar here in Montreal
with Master Willy Lin to organising a trip to Thailand in December. We will also
be adding more material to the website so that everyone can get a better sense
of what it is we are doing here.

system as it is being taught in Montreal, while Travis Joern has returned
from China with an entire collection of new drills and excercises to help
everybody's gong fu improve. He also learned corrections on several of
the forms that will be taught to the Ba Gua students.

weapons forms and two man drills.

~ Morning Qi Gong classes taught by Travis Joern from 7:00 - 8:00

~ Ethan Murchie will start up another round of his 12 week medicine course every
saturday from 3:00 - 6:00 starting in eary september, along with a 12 week
cource on the Meridian Qi Gong, an excellent Qi Gong form based on following
the pathways of the 12 meridians to bring the energy to each correlating organ

So as you can see, things are brewing up right now. Keep posted for futher changes
